Waigaoqiao Biomed joins HK platform to boost biotech innovation 

The biomedicine subsidiary of Waigaoqiao Group has joined the Global Connect virtual innovation community platform, operated by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), and become a strategic partner.

This collaboration signifies a deep integration of Shanghai and Hong Kong’s biopharmaceutical innovation resources through a digital ecosystem, injecting new momentum into the global expansion of China’s biomedicine industry.

HKSTP is a comprehensive innovation ecosystem service provider based in Hong Kong with a global reach. Focusing on strategic emerging fields such as biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and new materials, it offers full-chain services including R&D space support, technology incubation, international resource matching, and policy advisory. To date, it has nurtured over 2,400 technology enterprises, helping innovative companies transition from early research to commercial implementation.

The Global Connect platform uses digital technology to create an online space dedicated to breaking down barriers of time and geography. Through interactive functions, it enables information exchange and resource coordination among institutions, facilitating cross-border innovation collaboration.
