Waigaoqiao hosts seminar to navigate glocalization strategies for multinationals 

The "Glocalization" Strategy Seminar, part of the Waigaoqiao "InnoVoyage" event series, has been held, bringing together multinational companies to share insights on localization and internationalization strategies amid global changes.

An official from the Waigaoqiao Enterprise Center Company said that in light of profound shifts in the global landscape, the "InnoVoyage" series aims to create a platform for dialogue, helping companies clarify strategic directions, voice industry needs, and contribute practical cases for institutional innovation in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.

During the seminar, the Enterprise Center Company outlined key preparatory steps for businesses expanding overseas and introduced one-stop support solutions for global market entry. The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China also presented its "Global+Local" comprehensive financial package, detailing strategies to navigate exchange rate fluctuations.

Attendees included companies from Germany, Japan, the United States, and other countries and regions, spanning industries such as consumer goods, chemicals, equipment, technology, and trade. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including “China’s role as a global operational base,” “balancing localization with global compliance,” and “addressing practical challenges in financing, taxation, and labor.”
