Uzbekistan debuts national pavilion at Waigaoqiao Global Hub

The Uzbekistan National Pavilion officially opened at Waigaoqiao Global Hub on April 25.

As one of Pudong's key international trade hubs, Waigaoqiao Global Hub has now gathered 34 national/regional pavilions and commodity centers. While attracting premium global products, it is also accelerating international supply chain cooperation.

Last November, Uzbek handicrafts, premium nuts, dried fruits, and wines made their debut at the seventh China International Import Expo through Global Hub's exhibition platform, securing numerous orders.

"Uzbekistan is not only an agricultural powerhouse but also resource-rich. Previously, most of their dried fruits and fruit juices were exported to Europe and America, with limited channels into China," said Di Luochen, head of the Uzbekistan National Pavilion. "Uzbekistan has high expectations for China's consumer market. Through this national pavilion, we aim to connect with domestic distributors and e-commerce platforms via Global Hub's showcase."

In 2024, Global Hub has facilitated over 400 million yuan (US$55.02 million) in import trade transactions. In just the first four months of this year, hundreds of new product categories have been added, with the "buy global, sell global" effect becoming increasingly prominent.
