New strategic alliance boosts cruise industry development

Waigaoqiao Group and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on March 31.

At the signing ceremony, Yu Yong, chairman of Waigaoqiao Group, stated that Waigaoqiao Group and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding have collaborated extensively in the development of the cruise industry cluster, making significant contributions to regional development. He expressed hope that this agreement would serve as an opportunity to further leverage their respective strengths and engage in broader and deeper cooperation in foreign talent services and industry chain co-construction.

Chen Gang, general manager of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, said that Waigaoqiao Group has been a long-term partner of the company. In recent years, leveraging the design and construction of China's first domestically built large cruise ship, both parties have established a strong cooperation platform and laid a solid foundation for collaboration. He hopes that both sides will closely follow the agreement, strengthen cooperation in cruise engineering, and further expand the scope of collaboration to continuously enhance its effectiveness.

According to the agreement, the two parties will engage in close strategic cooperation in areas such as industry chain investment, supply chain collaboration, industrial space services, foreign talent support, and industry ecosystem co-construction.
