As the first peonies bloom, the 2025 Pudong Sunland Peony Festival has opened at the Pudong Peony Garden, a venue rich with a century-old charm and modern fashion.
This year's festival emphasizes the integration of "Guofeng" (Chinese style), aiming to attract more young people who love Eastern aesthetics. According to the "2024 Youth Guochao Brand Observation Report," 78.9 percent of surveyed youth are more inclined to purchase products with Guochao elements.
"In collaboration with various partners, the 2025 Pudong Sunland Peony Festival presents a fresh experience. The peonies in the garden have been upgraded in terms of variety, quantity, and planting area. The contemporary writers and scholars' painting and calligraphy exhibition, co-hosted by the Duoyunxuan Group, has also opened at the Xi's Residence within the garden," said Wang Haisong, general manager of Shanghai Sunland Waigaoqiao Commercial Operations Center Co Ltd.
This year, the garden features 43 varieties of peonies across 12 color series. Additionally, there are exciting activities such as cultural gatherings, Guochao heritage displays, traditional performances, craft workshops, and pop-up shops.
The Sunland area, home to the Pudong Peony Garden, is becoming a symbol of "unlimited possibilities" in northern Pudong. Last year, it hosted various events that combined culture, tourism, commerce, and sports, including the Sunland Boundless Life Festival, Sunland Cup City Dragon Boat Race, and Sunland Tea Culture Festival.
This year, Sunland will leverage landmarks like the Peony Garden, Sunland Lake Park, and Sunland Music Park to host an international corporate rowing invitation and the Sunland Green Outdoor Music Festival, injecting new vitality into urban development.
