The renowned international contemporary artist Hajime Sorayama's solo exhibition "Light, Transparency, Reflection" has grandly opened at the Nanzuka Art Institute in Shanghai. The cultural sector of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone provided comprehensive support for this major exhibition.
As Sorayama's first exhibition in Shanghai, it showcases nearly half a century of his major works since the late 1970s, including installations, sculptures, paintings, and collectible toys. The exhibition features the debut of an immersive digital artwork of the "Sexy Robot," and visitors can closely admire rare originals like "Future Mickey II."
The highlight is the 12-meter-tall giant Sexy Robot sculpture, which amazed the world at the 2018 DIOR show and now appears as a public art piece in Pudong.
To ensure the exhibition's successful opening, the cultural sector of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone provided fast customs clearance and professional transportation services for all overseas exhibits, including the "Giant Sexy Robot," achieving seamless transfer from the airport to the venue in just one week.
All exhibits benefited from the policy advantages of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone's cultural sector, being displayed in the city center under bonded status, significantly reducing operational costs.
In 2023, as one of the world's leading trend art institutions, the Japanese contemporary art gallery Nanzuka utilized the free trade zone's "comprehensive enterprise registration service" to enjoy efficient "plug-and-play" services and transferred its valuable collections from Beijing to bonded storage.
As the largest and most advanced bonded service center globally, the free trade zone bonded service center provides hardcore guarantees like storage with constant temperature and humidity and 24-hour customs clearance, along with "ten cultural trade facilitation measures," aiding institutions like Nanzuka in easily conducting exhibition activities.
