New Rowing Sports hosted the third New Rowing Team Competition at the New Rowing Sunland International Rowing Center on February, adding a unique touch of vitality and passion to the new year.
With 262 hectares of ecological green space and 60 hectares of clear waters, the Sunland area resembles a green gem nestled in the northeastern part of the Pudong New Area. Centered around Sunland Lake, the northern part of Pudong is leveraging its ecological and infrastructural advantages to create a distinctive sports ecosystem, leading new consumer trends.
As one of the first water sports brands to settle in Sunland Lake, New Rowing Sports upgraded the traditional team competition in 2025 to a "Family Day" event, blending family partnerships with trendy water sports. This attracted hundreds of enthusiastic participants.
By hosting such outstanding events, the Sunland area not only provides a platform for rowing enthusiasts to showcase and challenge themselves but also offers residents the opportunity to experience excellent sports and national cultural trends.
As Pudong's first qualified water activity operation management entity, Sunland Commercial Operations Company, a subsidiary of Waigaoqiao Group, has partnered with renowned outdoor sports operators like Decathlon and New Rowing Sports to introduce over ten water and land sports, including rugby, baseball, tennis, fencing, archery, kayaking, rowing, and paddleboarding. This has led to the development of the Sunland Sports Center, Water Sports Center, Sunland Unbounded Park, and Sunland Unbounded Energy Field, forming a unique sports ecosystem in Pudong.
Sunland Commercial Operations Company said that this year they will continue to leverage Sunland Lake to host high-level events and activities such as dragon boat races and corporate rowing competitions.
