Innovative border measures facilitate departure of new vessel from Shanghai

The Waigaoqiao Border Inspection Station of the Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection has facilitated the smooth departure of the newly built international vessel, the Liberian-flagged "SG Aquamarine," from the Waigaoqiao Port to Singapore by implementing a "one Ship, one policy" inspection measure.

To ensure the smooth departure of the vessel, the Waigaoqiao Border Inspection Station strictly enforced new measures introduced by the National Immigration Administration to promote the development of shipping enterprises. They provided tailored inspection services for the application of delivery-related procedures and hull inspections. By optimizing inspection processes and expediting border inspection procedures, they minimized clearance time, ensuring the timeliness and smoothness of the new ship's operations and departure.

The "SG Aquamarine" is an 180,000-ton LNG dual-fuel Capesize bulk carrier independently designed by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. It has a total length of 292 meters, a width of 45.0 meters, a depth of 24.9 meters, a draft of 18.3 meters, and a design speed of 15.25 knots. It features "green, environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and safe" characteristics, fully meeting market expectations for high-quality, high-efficiency green vessels.

The successful delivery of the "SG Aquamarine" marks the cumulative delivery volume of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding surpassing 100 million deadweight tons.
