Jointown Pharmaceutical Group, China's largest private pharmaceutical distribution company, has signed an agreement with the Xin Development Company, a subsidiary of Waigaoqiao Group to establish the Jointown international supply chain project in Waigaoqiao.
Jointown Pharmaceutical Group is a tech-driven, full-chain pharmaceutical industry comprehensive service provider. In 2023, Jointown Pharmaceutical Group's revenue reached 150.14 billion yuan (US$20.57 billion), ranking fourth among Chinese pharmaceutical distribution companies and first among private pharmaceutical distribution companies.
The project operator, Shanghai Jointown International Supply Chain Management Co Ltd,, is a subsidiary of Jointown Pharmaceutical Group. It is responsible for providing international supply chain services such as procurement, storage, and logistics of pharmaceuticals and medical devices for upstream and downstream customers, as well as Jointown's overseas companies located in the United States, the Middle East, Hong Kong, and other regions.
The Xin Development Company will provide a 6,600-square-meter warehousing facility to establish an import-export bonded warehouse, addressing Jointown's international supply chain shortcomings and supporting its solid steps in global expansion.
