Armenian specialty gin, pomegranate wine and brandy series, premium Mongolian vodka, and the historically renowned Swiss winery’s selected dry white wine are making their "China debut" at the Waigaoqiao Global Hub.
Recently, the 2024 Country Commodity and Cultural Festive Month officially launched at the Global Hub.
Many of the overseas premium products on display were also displayed at the seventh China International Import Expo. The Global Hub continues to amplify the "spillover effect" of the CIIE, attracting global products while accelerating international cooperation in the supply chain and delivering Chinese innovative technologies to overseas markets.
In March, the Global Hub welcomed new "residents": the Pakistan Center, Hungary Center, Mongolia Center and Armenia Center, with all four national pavilions opening on the same day.
To promote quality products from countries participating in the CIIE into the Shanghai consumer market and to build a platform for international trade cooperation and cultural exchange, the country commodity month in November will feature nearly 20 themed events focused on imported goods and cultural styles from various countries, bringing CIIE exhibits quickly to ordinary consumers.
Currently, the Global Hub has gathered 34 country (regional) centers and commodity centers, facilitating over 400 million yuan (US$55.25 million) in trade transactions in 2023.
"As of 2024, we have already reached over 600 million yuan in transactions. We are also helping overseas markets find their desired Chinese products, including excellent Chinese craftsmanship and technology,” said Ma Jun, general manager of the Commercial Operations Department at Waigaoqiao International Trade Operations Center. “The Global Hub serves as a bridge for both domestic and international markets, with its hub function becoming increasingly evident."
