The Pudong Market Supervision Bureau assisted two wine import traders, ASC Fine Wines and Shanghai CL-SupplyChain Management (Group) Co Ltd, in successfully completing the pilot clearance for the first batch of imported wines and distilled spirits with "facilitation labels" nationwide.
In the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, importers of wine and distilled spirits whose domestic agents are registered within the zone can be exempted from labeling Chinese translations of trademarks or product names and shelf life. This is a key reform task of the State Council and the Shanghai Municipal Government.
A representative from CLSC said that this reform not only enhances the brands' market visibility but also provides crucial support for quickly opening market channels. More importantly, the policy will significantly shorten brand registration times and reduce waiting periods, allowing a greater variety and quantity of products from more countries to enter the domestic market faster, meeting diverse consumer demands and increasing market competitiveness. This brings more business opportunities for companies while offering consumers a wider range of choices.
