Shanghai Inteva Automotive Door Systems Co Ltd recently signed an agreement with Waigaoqiao United Development Co Ltd for the expansion of a warehousing and logistics project.
On the base of the original lease of 20,000 square meters, the new agreement includes an additional 10,000 square meters of property to increase production capacity for new products.
Inteva is a joint venture between American Inteva Products LLC and Shanghai SIIC Transportation Electric Co Ltd, equipped with an enterprise testing laboratory certified by the National Testing Center.
From 2016 to 2023, the joint venture has supplied over 250 million automotive door locks globally, establishing itself as the world's largest manufacturing base for a single type of automotive door lock.
In 2023, the sales of automotive and parts in the bonded area amounted to 87 billion yuan (US$12.05 billion), marking a 25 percent year-on-year increase, while the manufacturing industry's output value reached 6 billion yuan.
