China's second large cruise ship takes shape

The second domestically-built large cruise ship in China has now entered a comprehensive accelerated construction phase.

Compared to the first cruise ship "Adora Magic City," this ship is larger in size and offers a better experience, but its construction period will be shortened by eight months. It is expected to be delivered by the end of 2026.

CSSC-affiliated Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd will further benchmark international first-class standards based on previous experience, aiming to complete construction with high quality.

The second large cruise ship has a total tonnage of about 142,000 tons, a total length of 341 meters, a beam of 37.2 meters, a designed draft of 8.17 meters, a maximum draft of 8.4 meters, a maximum speed of 22.7 knots, and 2,144 guest rooms.

Compared to the first ship, the second ship has increased its total length by 17.4 meters, total tonnage by 6,700 tons, added 19 guest rooms, and features a massive 16-story living and entertainment area. Its level of digitization and intelligence has also been further enhanced.
