The "Intelligent Manufacturing Internet of Things" exhibition hall located in the Waigaoqiao International Intelligent Manufacturing Service Industrial Park officially opened on Friday.
The exhibition hall is a joint demonstration center for the intelligent manufacturing Internet of Things created by the German Machine Tool Manufacturing Association (VDW) and the Shanghai Pudong Intelligent Manufacturing Association, showcasing the forefront of industrial digital application achievements.
The joint establishment of the exhibition hall aims to further develop local on-site demonstrations of German technology “umati.”
Zhao Yugang, deputy director of the Free Trade Zone Management Bureau, and Lukas Meyer, deputy consul general of the German Consulate General in Shanghai, jointly pressed the start button for the “umati” demonstration project.
After the opening ceremony, experts from VDW member companies and partners such as Liebherr, Carl Zeiss and GF gathered at the Waigaoqiao International Intelligent Manufacturing Service Industrial Park to discuss the development and exploration of intelligent manufacturing systems, automated production solutions and digital production through the “umati” technology seminar.
