The first flagship store of Sam’s Club in China will open on September 26 in Waigaoqiao, the Pudong New Area.
With an area of 70,000 square meters, the flagship store is the biggest of all Sam’s Clubs in China, covering services such as catering, entertainment, and education. It also has an intelligent parking lot with 1,100 parking spaces.
Sam’s Club is an American chain of membership-only retail warehouse clubs owned and operated by Walmart Inc and is the founder of paid membership retail in China. It aims to improve members’ everyday living by offering more than 4,000 select goods. It now has 34 stores in China after entering the market in 1996 in Shenzhen, southern Guangdong Province.
