Liebherr’s China HQ building in Waigaoqiao is ready

Construction of the China headquarters building of construction machine manufacturer Liebherr in the Waigaoqiao New Development Park was completed recently, marking the birth of another fine property in the region and adding a new engine to the headquarters economy.
The project was undertaken by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone New Development Company Limited, a subsidiary of Waigaoqiao Group. The headquarters building is located in the south block of the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone New Development Park, with a total investment of nearly 300 million yuan (US$47 million) and a construction area of nearly 20,000 square meters. Construction started at the end of March 2020 and the building is expected to open officially this year.
After being approved to upgrade to a multinational regional headquarters last year, Liebherr is accelerating the integration and expansion of its business in China. After the completion of the China headquarters building, Liebherr will further focus on localized operations to develop the local market.
As a key project in the south block of the new development park, the high standard of the Liebherr China headquarters building will further improve the regional architectural landscape, which will merge with the natural appearance of the waterfront lake in the south block.
