Recently, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission released the list of science technology incubators that are included in the city’s municipal technology innovation and entrepreneurship carrier incubation system in 2021. IDEA LAB, a regional innovation in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, was on the list.
IDEA LAB, with an area of 14,722 square meters, is an innovative incubator focusing on incubation and cultivation of medical industry enterprises under the Shanghai Free Trade Zone No. 1 Life Science and Technology Industrial Park.
So far, IDEA LAB has incubated 45 enterprises, with biomedicine firms accounting for more than 90 percent and the incubation success rate reaching 95 percent. The enterprises have provided more than 1,000 jobs in total, launched over 30 intellectual matching activities and served 100-plus overseas projects.
