E-commerce firm Farfetch opens Waigaoqiao office

The opening ceremony of the Waigaoqiao office of Farfetch (Shanghai) E-commerce Co Ltd was held recently, marking the official opening of the operation and customer service center of Farfetch Greater China headquarters.
The office will serve to build a new model of cross-border e-commerce trade and provide new incentives for foreign trade, while relying on the basic resources and regulatory policy advantages of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Farfetch is the world’s leading luxury fashion technology platform. It started as an online shopping platform with a collection of global luxury stores, and today its app have users in more than 190 countries, bringing together over 3,500 brands from more than 50 countries worldwide.
In 2015, Farfetch registered in the FTZ and set up Farfetch (Shanghai) E-Commerce Co Ltd.
Thanks to the launching of the pilot value-added telecommunication business in the FTZ, Farfetch successfully obtained the “Approval of the Pilot of Foreign Investment in the Operation of Value-added Telecommunication Business in China (Shanghai) Free Trade Pilot Zone” at the end of 2016 and started localized operation of cross-border luxury e-commerce platform in China.
Last year, under the guidance of Airport Customs and active cooperation of Shanghai Cross-border E-commerce Public Service Co Ltd, Farfetch successfully completed the first sales return of cross-border e-commerce 9610 (direct purchase) import business.
