A full container of nearly 20 tons of high-quality coffee beans from the Port of Dili, East Timor, arrived at Waigaoqiao port recently.
The consignment also includes wild Kopi Luwak coffee beans, one of the most expensive coffee beans in the world. It is also the first time that Shanghai port has started bulk trade imports of East Timor coffee.
Coffee is one of East Timor’s main export products, accounting for 90 percent of the country’s total export trade
Next, Shanghai Port will import two more batches of full containers of nearly 40 tons of coffee beans, and it is expected that coffee bean orders imported through the platform of the East Timor National Pavilion at the Shanghai Free Trade Zone this year will reach US$5 million.
