The Pudong Airport Public Service Center for Motor Vehicles, the first key project in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone bonded area for the 14th Five-Year-Plan period, was put into operation recently.
The center is located on the north side of plot A6 in the comprehensive security zone of the airport with a construction area of 1,530 square meters and a maximum testing capacity of 100 vehicles per day. It provides one-stop customs clearance service such as storage, examination and customs declaration for imported vehicles.
At present, the airport comprehensive bonded zone is able to operate the bonded import distribution business of Maserati and other brands, laying a solid foundation for the formation of a regional comprehensive auto imports distribution platform.
In the future, the center will combine the development of the imported car industry and the actual needs of enterprises in the region, play the role of special inspection lines for imported cars and continuously improve the supporting service functions of the public service center for motor vehicles.
