The Shanghai Waigaoqiao Bio-medicine Industrial Park and the BeiGene Shanghai Research & Development Center were recently inaugurated in the Shanghai Free Trade Bonded Area.
Agreements on nine biomedicine industrial projects, including BeiGene Shanghai Research & Development Center, BeiGene-Artemed Hospital and a Hillhouse Medical Instruments project, were signed at the inauguration ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Shanghai Free Trade Zone administration signed contracts with Hillhouse Capital to jointly allocate resources for enterprises and establish a biomedicine ecosystem.
The BeiGene Research Center has set up over 4,000 square meters of standardized laboratories specializing in macromolecular antibody drugs.
The FTZ bonded area has introduced over 700 bio-medicine enterprises covering testing, R&D, medical instrument sales, storage and supply chain management and whole industry chain links.
