Work on the eastern extension project of Metro Line 10 is currently on in full swing. The adjustment of electrical equipment in transformer substations has been finished.
The extension line stretches 9.5 kilometers, starting from New Jiangwan City station, runs through Yangpu District and the Pudong New Area, and ends at Jilong Road station.
The project has 6.32 kilometers of elevated line, 600 meters of ground-level line and 3.17 kilometers underground.
Altogether six stations – five elevated stations and an underground station – will be put into use. The trial operation is estimated to start at the end of this year.
