Virus fight: Waigaoqiao center facilitates transfer of key Siemens cameras

Siemens (Shanghai) Experimental System Ltd, a subsidiary of Siemens Healthineers, has dispatched a batch of mobile video cameras for disease screening and diagnosis from the German company’s parent group to help eight hospitals in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province; Heze (in Shandong Province) and Yulin (Shaanxi Province) in the fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The prompt delivery was a result of the efforts made by Waigaoqiao International Trading Operation Center Co Ltd (ITOC) to ensure smooth customs clearance process for emergency materials.
On February 7, an official from the medical device department of ITOC listened to requirements from Siemens, coordinated and mobilized employees, and carried out customs declaration and follow-up work in accordance with the emergency plan.
The batch of mobile video cameras arrived at Pudong International Airport the next day. After communicating with local customs in advance, the medical device department finished the application for electromechanical certificates and customs clearance of the emergency materials, and contacted local customs in the first instance to assist in quarantine and inspection.
