Waigaoqiao immigration station boosts measures to curb virus

The Shanghai Waigaoqiao Immigration Inspection Station has enhanced management and control measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

On February 4, the station succeeded in handling the inbound inspection procedures for Cosco Shipping’s container ship Izmir, on which a Chinese crew member had reported fever, cough and other symptoms.

The Waigaoqiao customs boarded the ship to carry out quarantine and disinfection work. The immigration inspection station went through non-contact entry procedures and followed it up with the medical treatment of the sick crew member.

For the sake of safety, during the berthing of the ship, the immigration inspection department is required to remind dock workers, agents and other boarding personnel to take necessary and timely protective measures.
