Six companies in bonded zones recognized as Shanghai trade headquarters

Six companies located in the bonded zones of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone have been designated as Shanghai trade headquarters.

They are: VSTECS Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd, Thermo Fisher Scientific (China) Co Ltd, Panasonic Procurement (China) Co Ltd, Infineon Technologies (Shanghai) Co Ltd, Takeda (China) International Trading Co Ltd, and Siemens Healthineers Ltd.

Siemens Healthineers Ltd was established in Waigaoqiao in 2015 and serves as the group's Asia-Pacific regional headquarters, integrating office space, R&D, manufacturing, production, innovation, sales, services, talent development, and training.

Infineon is a global leader in semiconductors with annual revenues exceeding 15 billion euros (US$17.67 billion). In 2014, Infineon established its first China logistics center in the Pudong Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone. In December 2022, Infineon set up Infineon Technologies (Shanghai) Co Ltd in the same zone, which has become one of its key sales and settlement entities. In 2023, Infineon developed a low-carbon, smart logistics warehouse in the zone for its China logistics center, providing strong support for the development of its headquarters operations.

Trade headquarters refer to headquarters established in Shanghai by domestic and foreign enterprises that perform single or integrated trade functions including procurement, distribution, marketing, settlement, and logistics.
