Honeywell establishes new aerospace unit in Waigaoqiao

Honeywell Aerospace Materials (Shanghai) Co Ltd, an independent legal entity under Honeywell International focused on aerospace materials trading, maintenance, and supply chain services, has been established in Waigaoqiao.

As a global leader in aerospace technology, Honeywell has been actively involved in and supported China's domestic aircraft industry since entering the Chinese market in 1935. The company supplies core components such as flight control systems and wheel brakes for the C919 aircraft. By deeply integrating into China's aviation industry chain, Honeywell contributes to advancing Chinese aviation toward global leadership.

In February 2025, Honeywell announced the spin-off and independent listing of its aerospace business. As part of this major strategic decision, the group established this new aerospace materials company in Shanghai.

The Waigaoqiao Facilitation Center of Enterprises Development Co Ltd provided tailored one-on-one policy consultation services for Honeywell. It introduced various policies and facilitation measures, including rapid customs clearance and bonded maintenance, offering comprehensive strategic advisory services to help clarify the company's business model and functional positioning.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), Shanghai is accelerating the development of a comprehensive aerospace industry ecosystem covering design, R&D, manufacturing, and services. The city is vigorously advancing civil aviation and space initiatives, forming a tripartite industrial landscape encompassing civil aviation, commercial space, and the low-altitude economy.
