Novo Nordisk, a global leader in biopharmaceuticals, has fully operated a modern storage and logistics center within the Pudong Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
The facility employs intelligent processes and systematic high-standard controls to provide precise temperature management and full safety traceability for diabetes and obesity treatments.
The center integrates multi-temperature zone storage systems, including 2–8 degrees Celsius cold storage and 15–25 degrees Celsius temperature-controlled areas. It is equipped with a building management system, an environmental temperature and humidity monitoring system, and an automated warehouse control system. Capable of handling both bonded and non-bonded goods, the center will fully support the storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical devices for therapeutic areas such as diabetes and obesity, further strengthening the flexibility and resilience of Novo Nordisk’s supply chain in China.
The storage and logistics center also represents one of the four core components of the Novo Nordisk China Open Innovation Center.
“In Shanghai, we experience both the speed of openness and the warmth of service,” said Zhou Xiaping, senior vice president of Novo Nordisk and president of China. “The Shanghai logistics center is a key link in our supply chain in China, reinforcing the city’s role as a commercial hub and innovation engine within Novo Nordisk’s Chinese presence.”
As a regular participant in the China International Import Expo, Novo Nordisk will return this year with an 800-square-meter exhibition booth to showcase its latest advances.
