China's laser projection pioneer DreiDTek sets up global HQ in Waigaoqiao

DreiDTek (Shanghai) Digital Technology Co Ltd, developer of China's first fully self-developed 3D laser projection positioning system, has officially relocated its global headquarters to the Waigaoqiao XINeocity 3.0 industrial community. The breakthrough system fills a critical gap in domestic applications for this specialized technology segment.

The company specializes in integrating visual measurement with industrial augmented reality technologies, delivering innovative high-efficiency, high-precision system solutions across multiple sectors including aerospace, heavy machinery, special vehicles, defense, shipbuilding, automotive, composite materials, and prefabricated concrete components.

Waigaoqiao's advanced manufacturing cluster has undergone accelerated transformation in recent years, expanding from production into R&D design and application scenarios. The area has shifted from general electronics toward higher-value industries like medical devices, industrial automation, and robotics, attracting multiple landmark projects.

For example, Flex and Smith+Nephew's collaboration on 4K endoscope camera systems represents a breakthrough in international high-end medical device contract manufacturing. Stairmed’s independently developed implantable brain-computer interface system addresses China's industrialization gap in neural engineering. And Lumenis' localized production line for laser medical equipment accelerates technological upgrades through import technology transfer and domestic manufacturing.

This concentration of cutting-edge enterprises demonstrates Waigaoqiao's growing prominence as an advanced manufacturing hub driving domestic innovation across strategic industries. DreiDTek's establishment of its global headquarters further strengthens the area's position in core technology development.
