In a bid to enhance its cultural industry, Waigaoqiao has signed a cooperation deal with People’s Creativity, a platform focusing on cultural creativity affiliated to People’s Daily.
Shanghai Free Trade Zone International Cultural Investment and Development Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Waigaoqiao Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with People’s Creativity on January 5, promising to make full use of the strong points of the two parties to promote the cultural industry in Waigaoqiao.
Waigaoqiao attaches great importance to the cultural sector among the six key industries as it shoulders the task of deepening the reform of the cultural industry in China.
After nearly ten years of development, Waigaoqiao has established the most convenient and efficient entry and exit channel for cultural relics and artworks in China. Besides, it has incubated an integrated emerging business, including an international channel, a bonded warehouse, exhibition and retailing, logistics and transport, etc.
“I hope we can make some diverse exploration based on our resources and strengths, aside from cultural creativity,” said Hu Huanzhong, chairman of Shanghai Free Trade Zone International Cultural Investment and Development Co Ltd.
Shen Jian, general manager of People’s Creativity, said, “Both parties have the same outlook on promoting the reform of the cultural industry and promoting the creative expression of traditional culture and I look forward to the cooperation between us.”
“China’s cultural creativity industry has great growth potential as the cultural confidence of Chinese is increasing and related markets are booming,” Shen added.
