Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang conducted an inspection tour of Waigaoqiao Port on Monday to check on the measures to prevent and control the spread of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Li and his delegation visited the central command center and listened to detailed introduction about the control and prevention measures. They then got a bird’s-eye view of the port and checked the transformation of the port’s automated operation system from the highest vantage point.
“We must try our best to ensure the safety and success of the prevention and fight against the COVID-19 pandemic despite the complex situation in the world,” Li said.
“We must accelerate the renovation of the automated operation system with modern technologies and take good care of frontline personnel,” he added.
City leaders Zhuge Yujie, Zong Ming and Zhang Wei joined Li on the inspection tour.
