Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang and his delegation recently visited the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, where Li pointed out that the zone should thoroughly implement the spirit of the important speech given by President Xi Jinping to promote high-level institutional openness and enhance global competitiveness.
Li visited the Shanghai Free Trade Zone National Pavilion and listened to the work report on the opening-up and reform as well as innovation of the FTZ.
City leaders also visited the commodity demonstration and sales centers of Chile and Central and Eastern Europe. They inquired about the implementation of trade facilitation policies and special customs supervision area policies in the FTZ, and listened to ideas and suggestions of enterprises and institutions.
